Laura M. Cooper, P.A,
In 1999, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. She advanced forward to receive her Juris Doctorate from Barry University School of Law in 2004. Admitted to the Florida Bar in April of 2005, Laura has enjoyed a successful career in diverse areas of general practice and litigation.
During her past two decades in the field of law, Laura has honed several areas of expertise in matters pertaining to civil litigation, commercial and residential real estate law, closings, private lending, mortgage foreclosures, landlord/tenant law, and business law.
Distinguishably, Laura has handled complex contracts, large caseloads, tried cases in court, and has earned an excellent reputation working at large Florida law firms. She has held the titles of Litigation Attorney, Title Attorney, Coverage Attorney, Collections Attorney, Foreclosure Attorney, and other representative roles pertaining to civil litigation. Uniquely, her expansive resume also includes criminal law experience with trial work for the Office of the Public Defender as well as the City of Orlando’s Office of Legal Affairs dating back to her days in law school.
Happily, Laura established her general practice in DeBary, Florida, the town in which she lives with her husband, teenage son, and beloved dogs named Comet and Sunny. In her free time, Laura stays active with family activities, weight-training, and occasional CrossFit competitions for friendly fun.
